Reaction Steps
By General Procedure A from 2-(dimethoxymethyl)pyridine-4-carbaldehyde, cyclopropylamine, and acetic acid (1 equiv.). Purification by column chromatography (CH2Cl2/MeOH, 97:3) gave the title compound as a colorless oil. 1H NMR (300 MHz, CDCl3): δ 8.55 (d, 1H), 7.50 (S, 1H), 7.22 (m, 1H), 5.40 (s, 1H), 3.90 (s, 2H), 3.40 (s, 6H), 2.18 (m, 1H), 0.5 (m, 4H).
