Reaction Steps

By General Procedure A from N,N-dimethylglycineamide hydrochloride, triethylamine, and 4-{[(tert-butyldimethylsilyl)oxy]methyl}pyridine-2-carbaldehyde. Purification by column chromatography (0-10% MeOH in DCM) gave the title product as yellow oil. 1H NMR (300 MHz, chloroform-d): δ ppm 8.49 (d, 1H), 7.32 (s, 1H), 7.17 (d, 1H), 4.74 (s, 2H), 3.97 (s, 2H), 3.47 (s, 2H), 2.95 (d, 6H), 0.95 (s, 9H), 0.11 (s, 6H).
