By General Procedure A from 4-{[(tert-butyldimethylsilyl)oxy]methyl}pyridine-2-carbaldehyde and 2-(methylsulfanyl)ethan-1-amine. Purification by column chromatography (DCM/MeOH/NH4OH (90:10:1)) gave the title compound as yellow oil. 1H NMR (300 MHz, Methanol-d4): δ 8.4 (d, 1H), 7.3 (s, 1H), 7.1 (d, 1H), 4.7 (s, 2H), 3.9 (s, 2H), 2.7 (t, 2H), 2.6 (t, 2H), 2.58 (q, 2H), 1.2 (t, 3H), 0.9 (s, 9H).
