To a solution of Na (2.0 mg, 0.07 mmol) in 2-methoxyethanol (1 ml) was added 2-(4-fluorophenyl)-7-methylthio-thiazolo[5,4-d]pyrimidin-5-amine (40 mg, 0.14 mmol). The reaction mixture was heated at 80° C. for 20 hours. After cooling, the mixture was neutralized with 1N HCl and the solvent was removed under reduced pressure. The crude residue was extracted by ethyl acetate, brine and dried over Na2SO4. After removing the solvents under reduced pressure, the residue was purified by flash chromatography on silica (CH2Cl2/MeOH 100:1) to yield the title compound as a white solid (35 mg, 80%).
