2-Chloro-4-(3-chlorophenyl)-6-ethyl-1,3,5-triazine (0.150 g, 0.59 mmol) and 3-(4-aminophenyl)propan-1-ol (0.130 g, 0.89 mmol) were suspended in acetic acid (5 mL). The mixture was heated to 75° C. for 2 h. After this time, the reaction was cooled, diluted with saturated aqueous sodium bicarbonate, and extracted with ethyl acetate. The combined organic layer was dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate, filtered, and the filtrate was concentrated. The residue was purified by column chromatography (silica, hexanes/ethyl acetate) to afford the title compound (0.077 g, 35%) as a yellow solid. MW=368.86. 1H NMR (DMSO-d6, 500 MHz) δ 10.19 (s, 1H), 8.41-8.31 (m, 2H), 7.71-7.67 (m, 3H), 7.60 (t, J=8.0 Hz, 1H), 7.24-7.16 (m, 2H), 4.45 (t, J=5.5 Hz, 1H), 3.43 (q, J=5.5 Hz, 2H), 2.77 (q, J=7.5 Hz, 2H), 2.60 (t, J=7.5 Hz, 2H), 2.51-2.49 (m, 2H), 1.75-1.69 (m, 2H), 1.32 (t, J=7.5 Hz, 3H); APCI MS m/z 369 [M+H]+.
