Procedure
Following General Procedure B2, ethyl 2-(4-((2-(4-chlorophenyl)-6,7-dihydro-5H-cyclopenta[b]pyridine-4-yl)amino)phenyl)acetate (0.100 g, 0.38 mmol) was reacted with 4-aminophenethyl alcohol (0.078 g, 0.57 mmol) followed by the formation of the hydrochloride salt to afford the title compound (0.030 g, 30%) as a yellow solid. MW=401.33. 1H NMR (DMSO-d6, 300 MHz) δ 13.99 (s, 1H), 9.77 (s, 1H), 7.82-7.73 (m, 2H), 7.70-7.62 (m, 2H), 7.39-7.27 (m, 4H), 6.95 (s, 1H), 3.64 (t, J=6.8 Hz, 2H), 3.15 (t, J=7.7 Hz, 2H), 2.91 (t, J=7.6, 2H), 2.76 (t, J=7.6 Hz, 2H), 2.30-2.15 (m, 2H); APCI MS m/z 365 [M+H]+.
