Following procedure A2, 4-chloro-2-(3-chlorophenyl)-6,7-dihydro-5H-cyclopenta[d]pyrimidine (0.120 g, 0.47 mmol) was reacted with 2-(4-amino-2-methylphenyl)acetonitrile (0.104 g, 0.71 mmol) to afford the title compound (0.054 g, 45%) as an off-white solid. MW=374.87. 1H NMR (DMSO-d6, 500 MHz) δ 9.31 (s, 1H), 8.28 (s, 1H), 8.22 (d, J=7.0 Hz, 1H), 7.79 (s, 1H), 7.63-7.54 (m, 3H), 7.36 (d, J=8.2 Hz, 1H), 3.99 (s, 2H), 3.01-2.94 (m, 2H), 2.93-2.87 (m, 2H), 2.36 (s, 3H), 2.14 (t, J=7.6 Hz, 2H); APCI MS m/z 375 [M+H]+.
