Procedure

A solution of 4-chloro-2-(3-chlorophenyl)-6,7-dihydro-5H-cyclopenta[d]pyrimidine (0.032 g, 0.12 mmol), 4-aminobutanamide (0.061 g, 0.60 mmol), and N,N-diisopropylethylamine (0.031 g, 0.24 mmol) in NMP (3 mL) was heated at 90° C. overnight. After this time, the reaction mixture was cooled, diluted water, and extracted with ethyl acetate. The combined organic layer was dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate, filtered, and the filtrate was concentrated to afford the title compound (0.019 g, 61%) as a white solid. MW=330.81. 1H NMR (DMSO-d6, 500 MHz) δ 8.31-8.26 (m, 2H), 7.51-7.46 (m, 2H), 7.27 (s, 1H), 7.03 (t, J=5.5 Hz, 1H), 6.73 (s, 1H), 3.48 (q, J=6.7 Hz, 2H), 2.81 (t, J=7.6 Hz, 2H), 2.68 (t, J=7.3 Hz, 2H), 2.16 (t, J=7.6 Hz, 2H), 2.03 (quin, J=7.6 Hz, 2H), 1.84 (quin, J=7.3 Hz, 2H); APCI MS m/z 331 [M+H]+.
