Reaction Steps

A solution of compound 4 (40.0 mg, 0.031 mmol) in trifluoroacetic acid (0.40 ml) was stirred at room temperature for 2 hours. After evaporation without heating, the mixture was triturated with diethyl ether (10 ml) and filtered. Filtration left a pure product. The yield was 53 mg. 1H NMR (d6-DMSO, 400 MHz): δ 7.87 (2H, m), 7.75 (2H, s), 7.38 (2H, m), 7.17 (2H, m), 6.99 (2H, m), 6.68 (2H, d), 6.61 (2H, m), 4.74 (4H, s), 4.54 (4H, s), 4.09 (4H, m), 3.80 (6H, s), 3.56 (8H, s), 3.09 (4H, m).
