Starting from (4-methoxy-phenyl)-carbamic acid benzyl ester (prepared from 4-methoxy-aniline and CbzCl according to procedure C) and (S)-glycidyl butyrate and following the procedure described for the preparation of intermediate 1.iii), the title compound was obtained as a grey solid (469 mg, 54%).
