To a solution of 9-[2-chloro-4-ethoxycarbonylmethoxy-5-(2,3-difluoro-6-methoxy-benzyloxy)phenyl]-2-(1-hydroxyethyl)-6-methoxy-7,9-dihydro-8H-purin-8-one (0.17 g) in methylene chloride (3 mL) was added 1,1,1-tris(acetyloxy)-1,1-dihydro-1,2-benziodoxol-3(1H)-one (0.37 g), and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 3 hours. The reaction mixture was purified by column chromatography on silica gel (eluent: n-hexane/ethyl acetate=1/1−1/6) to give the title compound (0.1 g)
