Reaction Steps
1,1-Dimethylethyl [6-(5-{3-chloro-4-[(1-methylethyl)oxy]phenyl}-1,2,4-oxadiazol-3-yl)-1,2,4,5-tetrahydro-3H-3-benzazepin-3-yl]acetate (Preparation 19) (120 mg, 0.241 mmol) was stirred at room temperature for 18 hours in 4M HCl in 1,4-dioxane (20 ml). Evaporation and trituration with diethylether yielded the HCl salt [6-(5-{3-chloro-4-[(1-methylethyl)oxy]phenyl}-1,2,4-oxadiazol-3-yl)-1,2,4,5-tetrahydro-3H-3-benzazepin-3-yl]acetic acid hydrochloride (110 mg, 0.216 mmol, 90% yield) as a cream powder. MS (ES) C23H2435ClN3O4 requires 441; found 442 [M+H]+.
