Reaction Steps
1.7 g (4.8 mmol) trans-dibenzyl-4-piperidino-cyclohexylamine are dissolved in 35 ml of methanol and hydrogenated on 350 mg Pd/C (10%) at 20° C. The solvent is eliminated in vacuo and the residue is crystallised from ethanol and conc. HCl. Yield: 1.1 g. The cis-isomer may be prepared analogously.
