Reaction Steps
6-Methyl-5-nitropyridin-2-amine [CAS 22280-62-2] (0.38 g, 2.48 mmol) was hydrogenated at 50 psi with 10% Pd/C (0.35 g) in MeOH/THF (10 mL) overnight to give 6-methylpyridine-2,5-diamine as a light yellow solid.
