A mixture of 2-[1-methyl-3-(trifluoromethyl)pyrazol-5-yl]-5-nitro-1,3-thiazole (65, 350 mg, 0.13 mmol) and Pd/C in 4 ml MeOH was stirred under H2 balloon at r.t. for 4 h before filtered thru celite. The filtrate was concentrated to dryness to give 8.1 mg 5-amino-2-[1-methyl-3-(trifluoromethyl)pyrazol-5-yl]-1,3-thiazole (66) as brown thick oil which was used directly used for next step reaction.
