A solution of 5-bromo-3-(ethyl(tetrahydro-2H-pyran-4-yl)amino)-N-((4-isopropyl-6-methyl-2-oxo-1,2-dihydropyridin-3-yl)methyl)-2-methylbenzamide (0.5 g, 0.99 mmol), 1-(5-(4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborolan-2-yl)pyridin-2-yl)piperazine (0.43 g, 1.48 mmol), and tetrakis (0.114 g, 0.09 mmol) in dioxane (7 mL) was purged with argon for 10 min. To this, aq. Na2CO3 (0.377 g, 3.5 mmol, 2 mL) was added and again degassed for 10 min. Reaction mixture was heated at 100° C. for 16 h. On completion, it was concentrated to obtain crude material which was column purified to afford the title compound (0.35 g, 60.13%).
