In analogy to the procedure described in example 4(b), the (3R,4R)-4-[4-[3-(2-methoxy-benzyloxy)-propoxy]-phenyl]-3-[1-(2-methylamino-ethyl)-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-quinolin-7-ylmethoxy]-piperidine-1-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester was deprotected with HCl/methanol to yield the (3R,4R)-[2-[7-[4-[4-[3-(2-methoxy-benzyloxy)-propoxy]-phenyl]-piperidin-3-yloxymethyl]-3,4-dihydro-2H-quinolin-1-yl]-ethyl]-methyl-amine as a yellow oil; MS: 574 (M+H)+.
