To a solution of {2-[5-amino-2-(3,5-dimethylphenyl)-1H-indol-3-yl]ethyl}-[4-(4-amino(dimethanesulfonyl)phenyl)butyl]carbamic acid tert-butyl ester (120 mg in 8 mL dry methylene chloride) at 0° C. was added 0.040 mL pyridine followed by 18.2 mg triphosgene and the mixture stirred at low temperature. After 20 minutes, 0.025 mL triethylamine was added and after another 10 minutes the mixture was applied to a silica gel column for purification by flash chromatography (hexane:ethyl acetate, 2:3) to give the title compound (106 mg).
