4-Cyclobutanecarbonylamino-2-nitro-benzoic acid was prepared as described in Example 3 from 10.9 g (0.06 mol) of 4-amino-2-nitro-benzoic acid and 7.83 g (0.066 mol) of cyclobutanecarboxylic acid chloride.
