Procedure
The procedure is carried out as described in Example 1, with the use however in this case of 10 g of potassium tert-butylate, 330 g (2.95 mols) of (2,2-dimethyl-propylidene)allylamine and 450 ml of benzene. After a reaction time of 3.5 hours at 40° C., there is obtained 325 g (2.9 mols) of (2,2'-dimethyl-propylidene)-propenylamine, corresponding to a yield of 98.5% of theory, as a cis/trans isomeric mixture in the weight ratio of 65:35; b.p. 110° C.; nD20 =1.4487.
