Reaction Steps
A suspension of 5 g of 2,3,3a,4,6,7-hexahydro-N-methyl-3-phenyl-7-(phenylmethylene)-5H-pyrazolo[4,3-c]pyridine-5-carboxamide (the product of Example 55) in 50 ml of acetic anhydride is refluxed for four hours. The mixture is cooled and poured onto 250 ml of ice-water. The product is filtered and dried.
