Procedure

Prepared in the manner that an aqueous ammoniacal silver nitrate solution and benzotriazole (containing ammonia water of 0.2 mol thereto) were added by a double-jet method to an aqueous 10 mol % phenylcarbamoyl gelatin solution at 50° C., and after completion of the addition, its pH was lowered for coagulation and desalting to thereby obtain needle crystals each being 0.1 to 0.2 μm in width and 0.5 to 2 μm in length. ##STR2##
