Procedure
A mixture of 3.14 g of the product obtained in Stage A above 1.55 g of Lawesson reagent in 40 cm3 of toluene is taken to reflux for 4 hours. The solvent is evaporated under reduced pressure and the residue is chromatographed on silica (eluant: ethyl acetate - hexane 3-7). 2.45 g of desired product is obtained. M.p.=136° C. (after dissolution in ethyl acetate, filtration, evaporation to dryness, impasting in hexane).
