Reaction Steps

The compound from Step A (192 mg) was dissolved in 3 mL of THF at RT under an argon atmosphere and treated with 30 mg of lithium aluminum hydride. After 1 hr, the reaction was poured onto 10 mL of 0.5N Na,K tartrate solution and extracted with 3×10 mL of EtOAc. The organic layer was washed with 10 mL of H2O, dried (MgSO4) and evaporated to dryness to yield the title compound.
