Procedure

A solution of the title D compound, 2-(2,4-dimethoxybenzyl)-5-(2,4-diaminophenyl)-1,1-dioxo-1,2,5-thiadiazolidin-3-one (40 mg, 0.10 mmol) is stirred in 4 mL of TFA/CH2Cl2 (1:1) at RT for 16 h. The volatiles are evaporated and the residue is stirred in 4 mL of MeCN/water (1:1) for 20 min. The mixture is filtered through a 0.2 μM Acrodisc and the solvents are evaporated. The residue is triturated from diethylether (Et2O) to give 5-(2,4-diaminophenyl)-1,1-dioxo-1,2,5-thiadiazolidin-3-one TFA salt as a brown solid: [M+1]+=243.
