Reaction Steps
To a solution of 3-(β-D-glucopyranosyloxy)-4-[(4-methoxyphenyl)methyl]-5-methyl-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazole (0.18 g) and 2,6-dimethylpyridine (0.069 mL) in acetonitrile (5 mL) was added ethyl chloroformate (0.045 mL), and the mixture was stirred at room temperature overnight. To the reaction mixture was added 10% aqueous citric acid solution, and the mixture was extracted with ethyl acetate. The organic layer was washed with brine and dried over anhydrous magnesium sulfate, and the solvent was removed under reduced pressure. The residue was purified by column chromatography on silica gel (eluent: dichloromethane/methanol=15/1) to give the title compound (0.13 g).
