Reaction Steps

A solution of 257B (411 mg, 1.04 mmol) in CH2Cl2 (5 mL) was treated with TFA (0.5 mL) at room temperature. The reaction mixture was stirred for 5.0 hours, then concentrated in vacuo. The residue was dissolved in EtOAc (10 mL) and washed with saturated aqueous NaHCO3. The organics were dried (Na2SO4), filtered and concentrated in vacuo to give 365 mg of 257C as a solid.
