Reaction Steps

Compound 7 (2.00 g, 3.3 mmol) was dissolved in methanol (90.0 ml), and triethylamine (10.0 ml) was added to the solution, followed by stirring for 48 hours at room temperature. The reaction mixture was concentrated through distillation under reduced pressure, and the residue was purified by means of silica gel column chromatography (silica gel 200 ml, eluent; n-hexane:ethyl acetate=1:1), to thereby yield a white powdery compound (Compound 8; 1.72g, 3.06 mmol, 92.4%).
