To a stirred solution of (2S,3S)-N-[5-(1-hydroxy-1-methylethyl)-2-methoxyphenyl]methyl-2-diphenylmethyl-1-azabicyclo[2.2.2]octan-3-amine (170 mg, 0.306 mmol) in anhydrous methanol (5 ml) was added benzenesulfonic acid (48.4 mg, 0.306 mmol) in anhydrous methanol (5 ml) dropwise at 0° C. The solvent was evaporated in vacuo, and the residue was crystallized from i-propanol to afford CJ-12,764-26 (141 mg, 64.6%) as a white crystal.
