A mixture of (3R,4S,5S,6S)-5-(5-isopropyl-2-methoxybenzylamino)-6-diphenylmethyl-1-azabicyclo[2.2.2]octane-3-carboxylic acid dihydrochloride (500 mg, 0.88 mmol) and Pd-C (10%, 500 mg) in water (20 mL) was stirred under H2 atmosphere (50 atm) at rt for 20 h. The catalyst was filtered off by filtration, and the filtrate was concentrated to give the title compound as a pale yellow solid (200 mg, 0.49 mmol, 54%).
