Reaction Steps

To a solution of 3-[trans-N-(benzyloxycarbonyl)-3-aminocyclobutyl]indol-5-yl acetic acid (1g, 2.76 mmol) in DMF (5 ml) was added TBTU (0.97 g 3.04 mmol), Et3N (0.42 ml 3.04 mmol) and benzylamine (0.33 ml 3.04 mmol). The mixture was stirred overnight at room temperature. The solvent was evaporated under vacuum and the residue chromatographed on Silica 5% MeOH/94% CHCl3 /1% 88O NH3 to give a pale yellow oil. yield: 0.81 g (80%) MS 468 (M+1), 392, 333.
