This compound is prepared by the procedure described in step B of EXAMPLE 68 from 1.55 g of 4-(3,3-dimethylcarbazoyl)-4-phenylpiperidine (free base) and 0.38 ml of acetic acid in 26 ml of MeOH, and then 2.4 g of the compound obtained in step A of EXAMPLE 68 in 26 ml of MeOH and 0.47 g of sodium cyanoborohydride in 26 ml of MeOH. This gives 1.82 g of the expected product.
