Procedure
A mixture of 4.475 g (15 mmol) of 4-cyano-5-(dimethylamino-methyleneamino)-3-(4-methoxy-benzylamino)-pyrazole, 2.83 g (17.25 mmol) of 3-chloro-aniline hydrochloride and 80 ml of ethanol is heated under reflux for 16 hours. Cooling to approx. 5° C., filtering and washing the filter residue with diethyl ether yield the title compound; m.p. 222-223° C.
