Procedure
A mixture of 0.9 g (2.45 mmol) of 5-(3-chloro-phenyl)-1,5-dihydro-4-imino-3-(3-methoxy-phenylamino)-4H-pyrazolo[3,4-d]pyrimidine, 18 ml of dioxane and 18 ml of water is heated under reflux for 10 hours. Cooling to 0° C., filtering and recrystallization from methanol/water and from methanol yield the title compound; m.p. 203-204° C.
