Procedure

To a solution of 13-12 (108 mg, 0.24 mmol) in EtOH (2 mL) was added 1N NaOH (0.270 ml, 0.264 mmol). After stirring for 1 h, the solvents were evaporated and the residue was chromatographed (silica gel, 25:10:1:1 to 15:10:1:1 ethyl acetate/EtOH/water/NH4OH) to give 13-13 as a colorless foam.
