Participants
| Role | Name | HCID | Charge |
|---|---|---|---|
| Reactant | Hydrochloric Acid | HCID 313 | — |
| Reactant | Donepezil | HCID 3152 | — |
| Reactant | Diisopropyl Ether | HCID 7914 | — |
| Solvent | Ethanol | HCID 702 | — |
| Solvent | Methanol | HCID 887 | — |
| Product | Donepezil Hydrochloride | HCID 5741 | — |
Reaction Steps
0.3 g of Donepezil was dissolved in 3 ml of ethanol under heating, followed by addition of 3 ml of diisopropyl ether and 0.79 ml of 10%-hydrochloric acid in methanol mixture. Filtration of the separated crystal and drying under atmosphere afforded 0.2 g of the title compound.
