Participants
| Role | Name | HCID | Charge |
|---|---|---|---|
| Reactant | Hydrochloric Acid | HCID 313 | — |
| Reactant | Donepezil | HCID 3152 | — |
| Solvent | Acetone | HCID 180 | — |
| Product | Donepezil Hydrochloride | HCID 5741 | — |
Reaction Steps
0.5 g of Donepezil was dissolved in 10 ml of acetone under heating. Under stirring at room temperature, 0.13 ml of concentrated hydrochloric acid was added hereinto. Stirring was continued for 30 minutes. Filtration of the crystals and drying at 85° C. for 16 hours afforded 0.5 g of the title compound.
