In an analogous manner to Example 1B, the product from step A is reacted with half-concentrated hydrochloric acid to give 7-(1-aminomethyl-2-oxa-7-aza-bicyclo[3.3.0]oct-7-yl)-6,8-difluoro-1-(cis-2-fluorocyclopropyl)-1,4-dihydro-4-oxo-3-quinolinecarboxylic acid hydrochloride with a melting point of 220°-227° C. (with decomposition).
