Reaction Steps
200 mg of the compound prepared in Example 1a are dissolved in 3 ml of MeOH and 1 ml of water containing 13 mg of sodium hydroxide. After stirring for 24 hours at RT, one drop of concentrated sodium hydroxide solution is added to bring the reaction to an end and then, after 15 minutes, the mixture is acidified to pH 3 by addition of a potassium hydrogensulfate solution. Water is added, the mixture is extracted with AcOEt and the extract is washed with water and dried over magnesium sulfate and the solvent is evaporated under vacuum. The product obtained is recrystallized from DCM/isopropyl ether.
