Reaction Steps
The diamine of Example 40 (274 mg) in methanol (3 ml) is treated with succinic acid (283 mg) in methanol (3 ml). The reaction is stirred at 20°-25° for 18 hours. A white precipitate forms which is collected by filtration. This is then recrystallized from methanol-diethyl ether to give a solid, mp 164°-165° C. (PLA2)
