To a solution of [4-(2-hydroxyethoxy)-pyridin-2-yl]-{3-[3-methoxy-4-(spiro[4.4]non-1-en-2-ylmethoxy)phenyl]-azetidin-1-yl}-methanone (0.040 g) prepared in Example 11 (3) in chloroform (3.0 mL) were added triethylamine (0.028 mL) and methanesulfonyl chloride (0.014 mL). The reaction mixture was stirred at RT for 30 minutes. Water was added to the reaction mixture. The organic layer was dried over MgSO4. The solvent was removed under reduced pressure to give the crude title compound.
