To a stirred solution of 5-bromo-3-(cyclohexyl(methyl)amino)-N-((4,6-dimethyl-2-oxo-1,2-dihydropyridin-3-yl)methyl)-2-methylbenzamide (1 equiv.) and 1-methyl-4-(4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborolan-2-yl)-1H-pyrazole (1.2 equiv.) in dioxane/water mixture (5 mL+1 mL), Na2CO3 (3.6 equiv.) was added and solution purged with argon for 15 min. Then Pd(PPh3)4 (0.1 equiv.) was added and argon was purged again for 10 min. The reaction was heated at 100° C. for 4 h. After cooling, the reaction mixture was diluted with water and extracted with 10% MeOH/DCM. The combined organic layers were dried over Na2SO4 and the solvent removed under reduced pressure to afford crude product. Purification by column chromatography over silica gel afforded the title compound (0.02 g, 20%).
