Thionyl chloride (0.12 mL) was added to a solution of the product from step (i) (0.39 g) in DCM (10 mL) at 0° C. The reaction mixture was stirred at rt for 1 h and then the solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure to give the subtitle compound (0.40 g) which was used without purification.
