To a solution of 4-thioxo-1,3-thiazolidin-2-one (5.32 g) in methanol (200 mL) was added N,N-diethylethane-1,2-diamine (6.17 mL). The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature overnight, and the solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure. The residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography (NH, ethyl acetate/hexane) to give the title compound (5.44 g).
