To a solution of (5Z)-5-[(1-benzylpiperidin-4-yl)methylidene]-4-(prop-2-yn-1-ylamino)-1,3-thiazol-2(5H)-one (155 mg) in ethanol (4 mL) was added a solution of fumaric acid (53 mg) in ethanol (4 mL). The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 1 hr, the solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure, and the residue was washed with ethyl acetate. The obtained powder was recrystallized from ethanol/diisopropyl ether to give the title compound (118 mg).
