To a solution of (5Z)-5-({1-[2,4-bis(trifluoromethyl)benzyl]piperidin-4-yl}methylidene)-4-({2-[2-(diethylamino)ethoxy]ethyl}amino)-1,3-thiazol-2(5H)-one (950 mg) in ethanol (2 mL) was added a solution of tosylic acid (635 mg) in ethanol (3 mL). The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 1 hr, and the solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure. The residue was recrystallized from 2-butanone/heptane to give the title compound (992 mg).
