To a solution of (5Z)-5-({1-[2,4-bis(trifluoromethyl)benzyl]piperidin-4-yl}methylidene)-4-[(3-cyclopropylprop-2-yn-1-yl)amino]-1,3-thiazol-2(5H)-one (1.11 g) in ethanol (15 mL) was added maleic acid (0.25 g). The reaction mixture was stirred at 80° C. for 20 min, the solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure, and the residue was recrystallized from ethanol/heptane to give the title compound (1.10 g).
