Procedure

To a solution of 1-(3-aminopropyl)-2-pyrrolidone (1.12 mL) in ethanol (40 mL) was added 4-thioxo-1,3-thiazolidin-2-one (1.00 g), and the mixture was stirred at room temperature overnight. The precipitate was collected by filtration and washed with ethyl acetate to give the title compound (1.56 g).
