Reaction Steps

To a solution of (2S)-2-amino-3-methyl-1-(morpholin-4-yl)butan-1-one (850 mg) in ethanol (10 mL) was added 4-thioxothiazolidin-2-one (608 mg) at room temperature. The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature overnight, and the solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure. The residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography (NH, ethyl acetate/hexane) to give the title compound (583 mg).
