n-butyl 2-(2-fluorobiphenyl-4-yl)acetate (22) was synthesized from 2-(2-fluorobiphenyl-4-yl)acetic acid and n-butanol according to a similar procedure to the step 1 of Example 15. The 1H NMR spectrum of this substance is shown below.
